Edie Lanza leads our events team and also oversees full-service clients as the senior events and marketing director. She is a dynamic leader with an extensive background in event and conference planning and leadership development in associations. Edie takes charge of planning and coordinating meaningful experiences for clients while always thinking strategically about marketing and business needs. She is intentional about leveraging events to meet business goals while also working to make the most creative event dreams a reality, while staying on budget, of course.
Edie leads the team's efforts around event activation, whether that is a local conference or a program taking place somewhere around the globe. This ranges from starting a new initiative from scratch or enhancing existing event efforts to maximize engagement and the impact of your event to meet your overall goals.
She understands how to make the most of events as a marketing strategy because she also works day-to-day on clients' content, websites and overall marketing strategy. Edie is nimble with the ability to lean in or out as needed to help the team deliver for each client.
Edie lends great insight to the team, coming from in-house client roles previously with experience in event management, curriculum and program design, nonprofit strategic planning, budget management, volunteer engagement and much more. She finds work is most rewarding when she sees people grow or experience something new as a result of her work, especially when they feel connected, valued and aligned with a mission.

Prior to her time at MMMG, Edie was most proud of her professional accomplishments during a decade at Kansas Farm Bureau. When her previous boss passed away from cancer, Edie had the honor of building the Casten Fellows program in her late boss’s memory to invest in rural leaders across Kansas to help others grow and see the world.
Edie also spent seven years managing leadership development programs and competition events at the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. Her extensive association experience ranged from youth leadership training to program facilitation to managing general sessions with 8,000 attendees.
A recent graduate of the Kansas Agriculture and Rural Leadership (KARL) program, Edie found the experience of becoming a KARL Fellow to be an incredible opportunity to connect with a variety of individuals working to make progress across the state.
Edie enjoys cooking a meal with her husband or traveling in her spare time. Her current bucket list consists of Istanbul, Uruguay and Zambia. As any genuine event planner would, she also loves hosting dinner parties, complete with designing an invitation, developing a menu, creating a tablescape and cooking a feast for friends and family.
