Designing the rhythm of an experience
September 18, 2026Lisa Diehl
Lisa is a senior marketing director at MMMG. Her career has taken her from the newsroom to the boardroom. Although she’s spent most of her career on the client side, she has enjoyed transitioning to the agency side of the equation, developing and executing strategies to tell a variety of clients’ stories.
A journalist by training, she’s a lifelong learner who isn’t afraid to try new things, find better ways of doing things or tackle new challenges. While her career has taken her through the IRS nonprofit tax code, MMMG has helped expand her experience into new industries from higher education to international aid, and from tech start-ups to economic development.
While leading communications and marketing for Kansas United Methodists, Lisa traveled to Zimbabwe, where she became passionate about “Chabadza,” a Shona word that roughly translates to people in a relationship working alongside each other for mutual benefit. This approach comes into play daily as the MMMG team relies on strong internal relationships to flex, grow and change while supporting clients in the most efficient way.
One of her proudest professional accomplishments was being named co-communicator of the year by the United Methodist Association of Communicators, along with her Nebraska counterpart. She was instrumental in the process of combining the Kansas and Nebraska United Methodist conferences and the communications teams.

Prior to MMMG, she also led the communication and digital strategies for Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America, a system of senior living communities in Kansas and Missouri, including their crisis communications response to the COVID-19 pandemic. She managed everything from paid search campaigns to marketing automation email workflows, websites, social media and monthly newsletters for PMMA’s 15 campuses.
At MMMG, Lisa has worked on projects for the Kansas State University Colleges of Education, Agriculture and Business, Voices of The Willows podcast, the Global Collaboration on Sorghum and Millet, HANK AI and Auditing for Compliance Education, the Feed the Future Innovation Labs for Sustainable Intensification Innovation Lab, Climate Resilient Cereals and Sorghum and Millet. She also lends tremendous experience to agency operations, building on her decades of experience in communications, marketing, fundraising efforts, search engine optimization, social media, marketing optimization and much more. She’s always learning something new.
When Lisa is not working, she enjoys reading a good mystery while enjoying a craft cocktail in front of the fireplace or on her deck. She is also passionate about helping families whose children are facing dyslexia and is a fierce K-State football fanatic.
